Not very accurate, good for hobbyists
This stud finder looks and feels good. It has decent features compared to more expensive models but when it comes to accuracy I would say 50-60% accuracy. I compared it to a very simple zircon model and out of 7 spikes it only found 4 on the first try. Knowing there is a stud there, I tried several passes both ways and finally got the position of the other studs, but it's utterly useless if you don't know and rely on the approximate position of the studs. device to tell you its location. I would only recommend this to those familiar with cleat placement in their home.
