Be careful! This pen is NOT suitable for a blackboard!

Attention! This pen is NOT suitable for regular blackboards. I'm not sure why the sellers aren't more specific about this. I used this on a Pottery Barn chalkboard tile and it doesn't wash off completely. If you read the product description it says it will "rub off" on non-porous surfaces. Obviously they expect the average consumer to know that regular slate is porous. Well I guess I've been updated now. It ruined my board. Don't make the same mistake I made; Only buy it for items you are sure are "non-porous". The pen writes beautifully, so if you know the surface you're using is fine, you'll probably be happy. It's a very short and thin handle, I don't know how long it will last and might not be easy to hold well in large hands. It was difficult for me to hold and I have small hands.

Pros
  • REMOVE this unscented chalk stick from non-porous surfaces such as chalk labels or chalkboard stickers with a damp cloth; does not dust, does not smear and is not erased. CAUTION: These chalk markers will stay permanently on porous surfaces such as traditional blackboards or chalk-painted walls, so make sure the drawing will last forever before using chalk on slabs. It's always a good idea to test the chalk paint on a hidden area of the boards first.
Cons
  • Without automatic
