I liked the winch, it was quite good. Installation is easy, but there is NO room on the Gladiator for wiring. It will press against your grill and I hope it doesn't vibrate mine! The wiring goes in this direction, there is no other way out. Works very well, especially for the money. Aside from the wiring, my only complaint and warning to anyone who buys it is to make sure they have their own mind. I walked out of the house several times and saw that the rope was so taut that it almost dragged across the floor. The lever was either in the neutral position or engaged (cable retraction). I was working on my wife's jeep and he was doing it while I was there. Once again I try to reset it and leave it as it is. Next time I notice a difference, the stopper on the cable has been eaten away by the winch plate! I'm glad I had the cork but not glad it broke and I almost couldn't get the whole thing out. I've since bought a power switch so I can turn off all power from the winch. Been alone for 2 days and didn't move at all. Even after I turned the switch on, it didn't move with the winch in working mode. So I feel a lot better when the rope comes out on its own.
