What have I learned? Few things. A. You cannot trust your thermostat's relative humidity readings. Using a TP 35 hygrometer, I found that the thermostat reading for relative humidity was 6 points high. God that's a lot, but knowledge is power and I've made adjustments based on the accuracy of the TP35. B. Cottages in the mountains of North Carolina are very humid. I set up a webcam, looked at the TP35 readings and found that the humidity was much higher than expected. Now I have a dehumidifier installed and sleep better knowing I won't be in for a mold surprise. For a very small investment in a TP35 and likely avoided mold/mildew removal costs. I put some blocks on the walls in my permanent residences and vacation rentals. Now I go to the condition monitor. Many Thanks
