I wish it was that easy. I have a Golf 04 TDI. The washer reservoir must be removed or the tool will be too long. This is much quicker than removing the alternator from the car. The pulleys are tightened with a torque of 80 Nm/m, so that little effort is required to unscrew them. With these torque settings, you must take extra care to ensure that the teeth in both parts, the pulley and the shaft, are fully seated. The tool is well made, appears to be properly hardened and finely machined and finished. Not that it matters, but this article is in Taiwanese, not chi-com. That's why they're on the island.
