It was very difficult to find paper for 3000+ at the local hardware store so I tried these. In the past I've tried working down to 3000 grit (3M grade) and then using a polishing paste. This method worked well, but I got tiny streaks (not because I was moving through the grains too quickly). So I decided to try the larger grains of this brand. Maybe it's me, or maybe the water was contaminated, but I felt like after using this brand of 5000 and 7000 grit sandpaper I get marks with a smaller grit, maybe around 1000. It seems that the problem is the paper quality control is. I will update my review if I find evidence to the contrary.
