I bought this in mid-November 2019 and it stopped working at the end of December 2019. According to my friend (an electrical engineer whose first impulse was to take it apart) it's defective because there's a small spring that transfers torque from the plastic mount on the motor to the offset weight in the head. If the shifted load stops or encounters resistance, the spring will coil on itself and break off the plastic mount on the motor. To overcome this one could keep the head rigid instead of flexible and use a hard drive. shaft, no flexible spring. In summary, the flexible spring in the neck, when flexed, will catch the inner spring causing it to snag and shear off the engine, resulting in catastrophic failure of the product. Basically, the product is designed to fail. This is definitely a downside and I would not recommend this product. PS My friend said the motor is good and he is keeping it for another electrical project. 🤣 The rest goes straight into the trash.
