I just got it yesterday and have used it a few times. I do the details and also run the paint shop so I can say with absolute certainty that they are FULLY synthetic and, despite the product description, contain NO natural bristles - at least not the ones I received. Whilst they work great due to the nature of the bristles I would NOT use them on painted surfaces but they do work great on studs, car interior vinyl, plastics and leather. regularly with no problems other than constant loss of bristles. However, yesterday while working on a small spot on a customer's tan Cadillac XT5 leather, I noticed that these brushes - even AFTER using them a few times and rinsing after each use - were releasing BLACK PAINT from the bristles! Thank goodness I noticed and was able to clean up the mess of paint coming off the bristles and went back to one of my old brushes for the rest of the detail. The reason I know the color comes from the brushes themselves is this. the fact that I had several unused plastic foil brushes. The color was also derived from them when I tested them. LOTS of dye! I tried cleaning them with Dawn dish soap and when that didn't work I tried soaking them in a solution of Dawn dish soap for about 30 minutes and then washing them again. It seemed to work better this way, but from now on I'll leave these brushes for detailing the motor and wheel lugs. black dye exuding from the bristles through dark surfaces.
