Understanding the limitations of the MAPP gas torch when using these soldering irons.
The MAPP Gas Torch flame is hot enough to work with these wands. However, this only applies if you are working with thin steel. I could successfully braze sheet metal, but when trying to braze light gauge steel to heavier gauge steel, the torch could not provide enough heat for the heavier gauge steel. For heavier materials I had to resort to oxygen/acetylene.
