Defective mast construction

I bought one of these tents for my Chevy Avalanche and it broke the first time I tried to set it up. So I ordered a second one thinking I could keep the first one for parts or maybe find a suitable rack and use it on my other truck. The awning also broke on the second. The radius the pole needs to be to fit both ends is too small and this tent is basically useless if you can't get the awning up. Too bad I just sent the first one back and got my money back.
