I bought this tool to remove the retaining ring on the fuel pump on my 2005 Ford Freestyle. After spraying a really badly rusted fuel pump snap ring with a PB Blaster once a day for three days, this fuel pump snap ring removal tool and 1/2"-30" breakers were delivered by Amazon in no time. After removing the captain's seats and second row console, I had enough room to use a 30" breaker and this ring removal tool. I'm a 46 year old female who doesn't have much strength and the rusty ring succumbed without much trouble. I recommend this tool over Ford's expensive snap ring removal tools.
