Lifebelt compatible with fuel system

Works great. Prior to purchase I spent a lot of time removing a badly rusted snap ring with a hammer and brass chisel. Vain. Then I bought this product. With exposure, this removed it fairly quickly. The square in this tool that received the impact appeared to be too large, so the impact deformed the square in this tool. Nevertheless, I am very happy to have bought this instrument.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Low repairability

It just works, solid 1/2 " drive

I've struggled a bit with rings on 15+ Mustangs, mostly getting them to completely reseat after fitting an aftermarket hat. This tool solved it. Rather than using adjustable tools, it fits perfectly so you can get an even pressure and get it right without hitting or slipping off the tank's hard surface. If you are building a fuel pump on a s550 mustang buy this tool and you won't regret it.

Pros
  • Nice package

Is a single-purpose tool worth the money?

I was hesitating whether to buy this tool or not. I had to replace the fuel pump on a 2005 Lacrosse. After watching a few videos using a punch or screwdriver and hammer, I decided the hack on the holder wasn't worth the risk. If you want to drain your gas tank, do it right and buy this tool. I hate spending a lot of money on single-purpose tools that I can only use once, but the peace of mind when I'm doing the job right pays off. The tool is reliable and serves its purpose. The biggest…

IT WORKS GREAT

I bought this tool to remove the retaining ring on the fuel pump on my 2005 Ford Freestyle. After spraying a really badly rusted fuel pump snap ring with a PB Blaster once a day for three days, this fuel pump snap ring removal tool and 1/2"-30" breakers were delivered by Amazon in no time. After removing the captain's seats and second row console, I had enough room to use a 30" breaker and this ring removal tool. I'm a 46 year old female who doesn't have much strength and the rusty ring…

  • Superb design

  • Out of style

Module Retaining Ring Made Easy & Right

2008 Chevy Uplander Fuel Module. I used a brass punch and a hammer trick to loosen the locking ring. it was not possible to completely fix the ring with a punch and hammer during assembly. .the ring did not rotate in the locking handles because the ring was punched out of orbit. I was just trying to hit a spot on the ring lightly, then move around the perimeter of the ring and hit again. will not work. With this tool and a 1/2" drive rod, it took a little effort to rotate the ring and hear it…
