Review on YSMN Stripping Grinders Coating Oxidation by Genene Locson

Advantages: 1) Ideal for removing old paint (I have removed 3 coats of old paint from wooden doors, windows and window frames). They cut through color quickly and easily. 2) Fine enough control/finish that you can avoid squashing the wood under all that paint. Negative side: 1) wears out quickly. Since they're expensive I first use a heat gun to remove most of the paint and then use these pads for the final clean. The pads only fit about three 28 x 36 window frames before wearing out. 2) Although this complaint is more related to the angle grinder, they generate a lot of very bad dust. This applies to any grinding/reaming process. It would be great if the engineers actually came up with a better dust collection method and/or a wet grinding method to reduce the amount of dust and capture it more efficiently. one of the cheapest and most effective ways to remove old paint (and overall cheaper than replacing windows). But the work is tedious, even at the speed of these strippings.
