1. The material they are made of looks and feels more like vinyl (or similar) than synthetic rubber. This doesn't make them useless, but they're not the same.2. Whoever determined the size of the hole was full of nonsensical sausage. The width is 13/16" (0.8125) rather than 0.78" (more on that in a moment*). Hole length is not 2"! More like 1-15/16"; 2 inches would be too long, resulting in an overly sloppy fit. Luckily I remembered to double check the dimensions before laying out and cutting. In most cases it would be more advantageous to have pre-cut "conduit" to allow wires etc to be fed through the feedthrough, as is the case with most similar feedthroughs. with a utility knife. I had to make a wooden plug to fit in the back of the bushing to make cutting easier. The only reason I gave this three stars is because it was the only bushing I could find close to the size I need, it can still be used despite the imprecise measurements in the description, and though I had to cut out the excess for free. *Although the width of the hole is almost 13/16" I used a 3/4" hole saw to cut the ends of the hole and a cut off wheel in a dremel to connect the holes. Hole saws tend to cut a little too big, so when I cleaned up the holes and cutouts on the dremel with a small semi-circular file, the size was close enough to the right size to ensure a snug but not too tight fit. The photo shows eight of the grommets on the bottom of the computer motherboard tray after cutting holes and installing the grommets.
