I used to buy a small pot in Gotham and immediately sent it back as the outside surface didn't have the hammered copper appearance nor the color, it was grey-pink. I thought the reason was the low price which explains the lower quality. So I bought the Gotham Steel Hammered Copper Collection as the photos and videos posted on the Revain website showed the same appearance and color as copper. I used to buy an old Dutch hammered cooper for kitchen utensils (absolutely beautiful). This convinced me that I made the right decision in purchasing the Gotham Copper Collection. I was wrong, the pans looked worse than the little Gotham pan as the color was grey-pink and there were very fine scratches all over the surface. I just returned the Gotham collection. I believe some of the positive reviews are from people who have never bought actual copper pans.
