Our bearded dragon is about 10 months old and we usually feed him fresh herbs and various live bugs. But I needed a spare meal for the days when we can't come to the store and change something for him from time to time. I added moisture to the pellets to soften them up a bit and increase the smell (perhaps to lure him in), he was curious but didn't even try from his food bowl. He took some from my hand, but only the green ones. I left the bowl for a day and mixed it with fresh food, but he still wouldn't take it and tried to eat the pellets. I've tried a few times with no good results. Maybe he just prefers fresh food because that's all we introduced him to. We will keep trying. I think it's worth giving it a try and introducing it to your bearded ones as early as possible to add variety and quick vitamin-packed options they need. I wish I could.
