Bought for my degu

The size is perfect for my two degus. You use it alone 99% of the time, but there's enough room for both of you to take sand baths at the same time. It retains sand well, but a significant amount is discarded. However, it's still much better than a large bowl without a lid. I had no problems chewing, but it's in a separate playpen and they don't have 24/7 access where they might tend to chew. It works on my degu and it's important to me.
