My 2012 Honda Accord has been a well built car but has glue under the armrests. The one on the driver's side front door started to deteriorate a few years ago, first with some wrinkles on the vinyl cover and then tears. I lived with this for a while, with duct tape providing a functional but ugly patch. I finally decided to see how to actually replace the part and YouTube videos made the job doable. I ordered this pair which came with a vinyl cover pre-taped to the plastic frame underneath. Overall the job took about 30 minutes: unplug the top speaker from the door, remove some plastic covers (the bottom one was the hardest part of the whole job), unscrew the three screws, remove the door. cover, then loosen the five screws and pull out a few tabs to remove the old armrest, then reverse the process to reattach the door cover and reconnect the top speaker. I've never asked a garage how much they would charge, but I'm sure it would have been at least a few hundred. Looks like my passenger side armrest is also starting to wrinkle and may need a second of a replacement pair. I feel well prepared.
