Review on 9.8In Bamboo Fiber Salad Bowl Set W/ Servers & Lid - Perfect For Fruits, Salads & Decoration (Blue-Green) by Jack Malloy

My initial review was good since this item is great for a few months. The spoon broke quickly, (a week or two) but I liked the set well enough to use another one. I discovered that if salad leftovers were returned to the fridge for a day, the bowl then had to be bleached as it leached the veggie colors into the plastic. Bleach will work but who want to bleach the salad bowl every time. The lid warped after a couple months (Hand washed & dried only) so I purchased some bamboo, food grade, mineral oil to keep the bamboo in shape & hopefully it would settle back to original shape. NOT. Then I noticed a huge crack in the side with splintering cracks coming off of it. I was told that it was past the exchange date & I was out of luck. I noticed several 5 star review were given as gifts. so the durability of it wasn't considered with the rating - thus invalid. The company itself could send a replacement if they wanted to I must conclude they didn't want to & they hid behind the AMAZON policy & offered no customer support at all. The good news is it looks great for about three months!
