Review on πŸ“ƒ High Speed Document Scanner ADS-2000 by Brother - Black by Lamar Hopkins

Great so far. the best of scanners and accessories

For the last ten years I have used a large ADF scanner in combination with the Paperport software in my work. I have had two of these scanners, both high quality, expensive and reliable. (A previous purchase of a Brother copier/scanner was unsatisfactory and I gave it away.) I then upgraded to Windows 10 and unfortunately my scanner is no longer compatible. I seriously considered going back to Windows 7; The scanner was so important to me. Unfortunately, this manufacturer doesn't make a machine that will work with the W10 (I called). So I took a chance and bought a Brother AS 2000 scanner and I'm glad I did. It is great. A very fast scan indeed and a neat trick for scanning small items like ID cards, taking up a third of the space of the old device. But the best news is that I am no longer tied to Paperport. Brother ADS 2000 scans/saves my documents in any format I need (.pdf, .jpeg, etc.) and saves them to any location I specify. You may or may not use Paperport as needed. Yesterday I used the scanner to deposit checks at my Texas bank; took less than half the time of my old scanner. In fact, my bank has phased out "home deposit" using scanners like my previous one, but now willingly accepts checks that are already in .jpeg format. I haven't tried scanning a large batch of documents yet, although I will soon. The only hiccup so far is that the bottom slide tray is a bit stubborn, a minor issue. So far this is a great machine from a great company.
