I'm 5'6", 185 lbs, muscular (13% body fat), 31/32" waist and ordered a medium size. It fits perfectly around the waist but feels like compression pants on my hips which are about 26 inches tall. If you have normal hips, this probably won't be a problem. I had to go up a size, although the waist is very baggy for me on the plus size, they fit snugly around the hips but not tight (I can pinch about 1/2" of the extra fabric on the sides). my legs). I love these jogging pants, they fit great and have a very athletic fit. I could still wear medium ones, but I just prefer a bit of space around the quads. The pants are very stretchy so you can still fit in as long as your waist fits. Bottom Line: 1) If you're okay with a really tight fit, choose the size that fits your waist. 2) If you want a little more room (not baggy at all) and still want a slim, athletic fit, go up a size. Great company, great product. I'll probably buy the blue ones too. Hope that helps!
