I bought this cable to extend the cable from the "master" speaker in my Logitech 5.1 surround sound kit. Although I don't have a Z506 system, but one with a single speaker in the center channel, I'm sure the connection is the same. The "Master" speaker has a proprietary 9-pin cable that is only about 6 feet long. This cable is perfect for allowing me to bring the "master" speaker to the farthest corner of my room and everything works flawlessly.
