Review on Fox 980 24 670 Performance Smooth Shock by Richard Koh

Replaced original Bilstein shocks on my Tacoma that I never liked. And with 61,000 miles they were badly worn. The only thing Bilstein had left was a working compression valve, the worst thing about them. Was looking for a replacement shock that could be rebuilt with a linear compression valve that wasn't very expensive and these Fox shocks met the specs. They significantly improve compliance on small bumps and at the same time offer noticeably more compression damping. Where the Bilstein would have a sharp opening hit and then smash down the barrel, the Fox is much more responsive and offers more mid-stroke support. Highly recommended.
