Review on πŸš— HYUNDAI Sonata 2.0L 2.4L 2011-2014 - Replacement Electronic Control Valve for A/C Compressor: Labwork Brand by James Lapa

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Problem fixed, better than spending over $300 on a compressor!

2011 Sonata This switch did not provide cooling at idle/light but froze you while driving. Pulled the sensors and found 55-70psi on the bottom and 150psi on the top. After some testing I found this ECV bad and couldn't find any OEM. Apparently they want you to replace the compressor due to bad ECV! I ordered this one hoping it would fix the problem as I don't trust replacement parts and it did! The replacement was easy, I could leave the compressor in the car. It took an hour from evacuation, exchange, evacuation and filling. Add 18 oz of R134A (2011-13 Sonata is 16.64-18.4 oz) for the final reading: 32 psi low, 195 psi high. Blows out the vents at 38F idle when it's 90F outside. Hope this was the last and fixed the problem!
