Review on 🌩️ Intermatic AG3000 HVAC Surge Protective Device - Universal 120/240 VAC, Color by Luke Hodes

I've only had it a few days so can't comment on durability, but I ordered it because I need it from my house's HVAC company been contacted and check our heating before winter. They told me that the surge protector installed in our home was recalled and posed a fire hazard. It was a Supco SCM150 and after testing it turned out to be correct. I'm sure they installed it when they installed the new HVAC PAC on my roof but they told me the warranty was no longer valid even though it was voided! So I asked what the exchange costs. They had what they called a Band-Aid package, which included a new muffler, installation, and $10,000. Insurance in case it fails and causes damage to the HVAC unit. It was $870. I searched Revain and found this surge protector which will almost certainly replace the old one and comes with a $7500 warranty. I ordered it and it arrived a few days later. I contacted my electrician friend this weekend and he came and installed it for me. After turning off the box, he turned off the old one and installed the new one in about 20 minutes. So for $60, about an hour total time, and the cost of some snacks after we were done, I saved about $800. We'll see how long it lasts. Intermatic has been around for a long time so I'm sure it has quality.
