Good. I have an iPad Pro 9.7 which you can see in pictures 3 and 4. It supports it with the lid on, so the tabs hold the iPad with the lid on. Images 5 and 6 show the iPad Pro 12.9 and support it very well. While this will work, I don't have a case for it as I have a military case and it's very bulky, but the stand will hold it. I don't know if you can tell, but he keeps her off the counter. It stays where I placed it, but if I lift it too high it falls back. Also, I always press the iPad 12.9 otherwise it moves. The only problem I had (and that was after 3 months of use) was one of the spacers sticking to the support arms, pins? released. Just put it back in. I put it in my lap on the pillow, but I also put one behind it to keep it from falling. I've used this thing for hours every day and it's still holding up and I'm very glad I have it. Hope that helps.
