I bought some Flitz to polish a couple of carbon steel knives that had a little more patina and rust than I wanted. This product is excellent for polishing stainless steel, carbon steel and other metals that may be corroded or need an extra shine. Also, this product has given my old high quality stainless steel chef's knives a new shine. Just to live up to expectations, this isn't a miracle product, but it absolutely helps to shine and protect metals. Flitz isn't designed to instantly remove deep scratches, which requires a fine grit abrasive, but as a final step, this product shines. No pun. Other use: Poor man's trigger on my G19. I polished the parts to a perfect shine and made the trigger less stiff. Okay, it was an experiment, but it worked. Restored all my rusting tools. I have been able to remove a significant amount of corrosion on many of my tools. Flitz has brought back the shine to some very old hand tools. I like that the product also protects against corrosion for a while. The product has done a great job on my chisels which are carbon steel and prone to rusting. Helped polish and protect my wife's car headlights. I did this as the final step in the post-processing process. Little goes a long way and you will find many unexpected uses for this product.
