They are great and seem reliable. I wear a size small. At first I was concerned that I was wrong in sizing as they seemed too small for me. I left them on for a while to try and break them but it was still a little off. Then I had the great idea of changing the knee pad from the right knee to the left and from the left to the right. Big surprise! Now they sit comfortably and don't pinch at all. Maybe I put her on the wrong knee? They don't really say how they go, but they fit great with the straps on the outside. I also like that they are not as bulky as protective outdoor pads.
