Works great but needs to be protected from accidental disconnection from the battery before turning off the solar panel. I first accidentally disconnected the battery (battery habit) and damaged the controller from the 1 amp panel I was charging from. I'm changing my rating from 2 stars to 5. Although the problem was my accident, their customer service contacted me and sent me a new unit. This time I will try to turn off the solar panel first! the stars of their customer service too!
