This is a great camera, I have other Amcrest products and this like the others is great. I like that it's not a closed system and you have the option to choose your storage media and access your video stream directly without having to use the cloud or a subscription fee, although those options are available if you want. For me, that means reliability, security and flexibility. What I like: 1. Setup: Setup is easy and straight forward, powering the camera requires a bit of engineering/physical work, but if you have an Amcrest NVR or POE switch you're all set for plug and play. 2. Pairing: After downloading the application, it is easy to find the camera using the search function or a fixed IP address, which is recommended. There are many guides for this, depending on what type of router you have. 3. AI Motion Detection: It Really Works! , it clearly shows the difference between a person and a vehicle or people, which is very useful for precisely understanding the nature of the movement. Also configurable for regions so you can exclude areas that are not of interest. Again, this is processed locally, not in the cloud! 4. Quality: 4k with excellent image quality and adjustable settings as needed. 5. Storage: You can use SD card or RTSP stream for dedicated NVR. If you have an amcrest NVR, just plug it in and you're good to go6. IOT: If you're a DIY smart home integrator like me, this works great as the system offers more flexibility like RTSP/ONVIF. There is also a well-documented API.7. Notifications: They are instant, I don't get any lags and missed notifications, as far as I know I have other big brand products that give me problems with missed events, I don't get that with this What I want more : 1. An push Notifications does not have a thumbnail attached, this would be useful for a quick view of the motion event. I am sure this is possible with a firmware update.2. It doesn't seem to integrate with smart home hubs like Alexa/Google, I highly recommend it!
