Review on Magical Unicorn-themed Nicknack Wooden Puzzles Perfectly Assembled for Delightful Fun by Sam Hawj

Nice but difficult to read the time

Well made watch, relatively easy to assemble. Unlike most wooden models, plywood has a satin finish. This is good as it makes the finished watch look more like the real thing, but it's a problem if you want to stain it a different color and seal it. They are very ornate and look very much like late Victorian Gothic clocks. The only real downside is that the dial is the same wood, making it difficult to read. It would be much better if they provided a lightweight decal that mimics the enamel you apply before attaching the watch hands. Not only would this make the watch more legible, but it would also make it look more authentic. If I had thought of that before assembling the dial I would have painted the dial and then added the numbers myself. One more small note: it would be better if the electric movement they provided made a ticking sound when the second hand moves. The included one moves smoothly but silently. But for the money this is certainly a well made and attractive kit.
