Like all SRIs (Short Air Intakes) for the 8th Generation Civic Si, it also draws in hot air right next to the exhaust manifolds. Expect this to raise your interior air temperature by about 20-30F+ above ambient at highway speeds (more when driving around town). The heat shield doesn't help much, and while there's room for a standard resonator tube to connect to the heat shield, it won't actually pull air out since it's not forced or aspirated. My solution consisted in removing the resonator and the brake duct, which leads to the front bumper as a kind of ram air. It works great and the temperature on the highway is +9 compared to the surroundings (although this doesn't help much when driving around town).
