I bought this rug to put in front of the side door in my living room. When it arrived there were uncut fibers all over the surface. It is also an inch shorter than stated in each direction. I read that it needs to be washed before use. I followed the instructions but couldn't tell any difference from before. Unlike many reviewers, I had no problems with it falling out. Now I need to cut all the long fibers to the same length as the rest. That's not what you expect. The lining has come loose on one side. Dries overnight after washing. I would not buy it again nor would I recommend it. I like it a lot better now that I have this rug. I cut off any extra long fibers. It looks fairly unremarkable on a moderately dark wooden floor and seems to absorb moisture from shoes well. It stays in place and lies flat. I think the manufacturer should trim the carpet fibers before shipping. I would buy it again for wet weather.
