1. Install as close as possible to the outlet of the fuel pump to the carburetor.2. Purchase two additional 3/8 inch brass compression fittings. I'm glad I pulled the trigger and spent 30 cents, dropped one and let it roll. Brass compression caps, evenly tighten matched tubes.4. Run the engine for 15 seconds, check for leaks (including the entire fuel supply system). There are no leaks, test again after one minute of operation.5. Still no leaks then test drive and check for leaks again, still no leaks to make sure the hard start is no longer an issue! Two weeks later, the problem is completely solved!
