Mislabelled

Only upon receipt of the product was found to be suitable for high pressure fuel line systems only. Do not use with single line gassing systems.

Fixed issue starting transmission from Auto 98

Fixed issue starting transmission from Auto 98 am Works Great must be stainless steel. Difficult to stop a leak. Without over tightening it looks like it could tear but it worked. Cheaper fuel pump.

Will not fit lines

I installed this on my 2000 GMC Sierra. The check valve in my fuel pump is defective, but otherwise the pump works fine. I figured I'd be smarter, save a few hundred bucks, and install this in-line check valve to fix my warm engine starting problems. Good news. He's done a great job. Bad news. only for 2 days. I will be back to get my hard earned $30 back. Note: This is really difficult to install on a 10mm nylon cord, but it is possible.

Pros
  • Save time and money by only repairing the damaged area instead of the entire fuel line
Cons
  • Could have gone with a newer model

1. Install as close as possible to the outlet of the fuel pump to the carburetor.2. Purchase two additional 3/8 inch brass compression fittings. I'm glad I pulled the trigger and spent 30 cents, dropped one and let it roll. Brass compression caps, evenly tighten matched tubes.4. Run the engine for 15 seconds, check for leaks (including the entire fuel supply system). There are no leaks, test again after one minute of operation.5. Still no leaks then test drive and check for leaks again, still…

Pros
  • Also available as part of the Dorman fuel line repair kit
Cons

Vague instructions and poor quality

Instructions are useless - does not include proper instructions to show how to fit steel hose nipples into a check valve - overlooks the fact that you must install a brass tip . (Only ferrules used when installing directly into a steel or nylon gas line are shown.) Even after I figured out how to assemble them, the hose nipples ended up at an angle when tightened - eventually becoming the unwanted ones Replaced brass ferrules supplied with better ones. good quality ones from the hardware store…

Pros
  • Highly resistant to extreme temperatures causing cracking
