I love these lights. We're finishing up our living room remodel and they're adding a great finishing touch. They don't come with a remote control, but that's a plus because you can lose one less remote. The indicators light up when the TV is switched on and go out when it is switched off. You can set them to any color you want and in low light they give the room a really great look. I only bought them because I thought they would look good, but they actually reduce eye strain when we watch movies. save foot or something. We cleaned the plastic part of the TV where the lights were on with some rubbing alcohol and getting them to stay where we put them was no problem. Overall it took about 10 minutes from start to finish. I would like to get some more for the bedroom TV.
