I had two concerns when buying the device. 1) That the screen would be too coarse and let too many solids through, rendering the oil useless and useless. 2) That the screen will become too fine and clog easily and you won't be able to intelligently pour oil into the can without stopping and draining, pouring more etc. Both of my fears were unfounded - the device works Great. You can pour a pot of fat straight in without stopping, and it filters out the smallest particles from the oil, extending its life.
