The lock is quite good. It's all metal. It's a little clunky compared to others. The thickness of the case is about 15mm at its widest point. The width of the locking pin is 2.5 to 3.0 mm. The locking pin does not go into the lock body when locking, but only rests on a rather flat area of the "pool". which has a depth of about 2 mm. The "lock open" indicator is a good idea, although anyone with a paperclip can reset it. I believe (but have not confirmed) that the TSA leaves the card in open pockets. So is there a more reliable indicator of an open pocket? I noticed that there are many 5 star reviews saying they have been compensated. The company included a card in my package that said if you leave 5 stars you are entitled to a lucky gift card. I received a follow up email asking for a 5 star rating and explaining that a 4 star rating would be considered a negative review from Revain. I think the Acrodo TSA lock is a worthy value.
