I have a 20 inch medium sized dog and this leash is a life saver. He has so many nightmare stories of getting out of the yard and running into the street whenever he could. He has been hit by cars in the past so we would only let him run in our backyard.He's getting older now and it breaks my heart that he can't go out for daily walks. So I researched durable leashes that he can't chew through and this leash has helped so much.He tried chewing on the leash when we first got it but he gave up after the first day. The handle is soft enough I don't get rope burn and I feel so much safer taking him on walks knowing he won't break the leash. I've had the plastic hook break on leashes in the past so the fact that it's metal really helps.The leash has enough stretch to it that it doesn't hurt him or me when he tries to pull, but it's not as stretchy as I thought it would be. That's not a downside, but I feel it's important to know that it's mostly firm and takes a bit of strength to stretch.I love that it's long enough to let him sniff around but that I can hold it to a shorter length when I need him to walk by my side. I haven't noticed anything that really stands out about the reflective parts of the leash. It sometimes shows when you shine a light on it so cars can see it in the dark but I tend to walk my dog when it's already morning so I can't say for sure.Overall a great leash and well worth the price.
