I agree this is a great vacuum sealer for the price. It doesn't seem to seal bags or bag rolls wider than 8 inches, but it works quickly and is very efficient. I would highly recommend it to anyone new to this type of food preservation. The problem, if you can call it that, with this packer is that the vacuum can be TOO strong. Dry and wet modes are available. I haven't found anything yet that I can use dry mode for without ruining what I'm trying to seal. A wet setting doesn't create as much vacuum as a dry setting, and you may find that more air is retained in the bag, although that's probably not enough to cause freezer burn, ice, or anything else. However, sometimes even a wet setting is stronger than I would prefer. I recently found out (yes!) that you can stop the vacuum at any time with one of the buttons. If you time it right, you can stop the suction power before it completely crushes what you're sealing. Then use (only) the "Seal" button to seal the package at that moment. This was an important discovery for me and will likely improve my use of the Cromify vacuum sealer. Too bad the suggestion was not included in the instructions that came with the product.
