Review on 🌫️ Black/Amber Rear Smoke MTB 26 x 2.10 inch Tubed Folding Bead Tire by Nick Winnett

I have to differentiate myself from other reviewers. I got this as the rear tire for my 1999 Gary Fisher Hoo Koo E Koo Hardtail, replacing an original worn out WTB Velociraptor. I ride some pretty tough terrain near NYC (Spray Brook, Blue Mountain, Sterling Forest) and was disappointed with the Smoke's performance, especially in the wet. I found it picked up dirt easily and lost traction quickly in wet conditions, causing my rear wheel to spin on climbs. And I can only imagine that, but after only a few months of semi-regular driving (2 days a month), the tread already seems to have worn down badly. Finally, and this is obviously just a personal preference, I find that a retro look ends up looking too retro; There's a reason the tires went into the black wall! So going back to the WTB Velociraptor and would recommend the same to anyone looking for a 26" x 2.1" rear tire.
