Review on Optimized FRAM Extra Guard Air Filter CA10190, Ideal for Pontiac, Scion, and Toyota Vehicle Models by Greg Quinit

I read some reviews that the design was changed and got some negative feedback. I was initially skeptical of how bad this "new" air filter could be, so I bought it anyway. When I tried to install it, it didn't fit properly. Essentially, there's no rubber gasket, and it's a one-piece filter with a compressed rim. Although the folds are thinner than before, the edge cannot be compressed enough, making it too thick to close the airbox and engage the latches. With a little effort I was able to close it but I was uncomfortable with how it fits and how tight it is. I will return it and either buy another brand or go back to OEM.
