I bought this camera because I wanted a 3 in 1 option to get rid of a headset and use a speaker. I use a laptop with a dock, so I can't hear any sound when it's closed. It was one of the few models that had a speaker, microphone and camera in the same body. However, I was surprised and disappointed that an adjustable mount or tripod was not included. Even the cheap versions had something to tweak the mount. I didn't expect installation to be a problem, especially given the higher price, but it wasn't possible to install on my thin desktop monitors. The key point in purchasing this webcam was the ease of setup. It is not easy. Because I use multiple monitors, I couldn't mount it on a large standard tripod like that used with a Halo light. Where would I place the tripod without moving the monitors and taking up floor space? I ended up buying Revain Basics. a mini tripod for the top of my desk to sit in front of my monitors. It's about 6 inches shorter than proper face height, however, but I was able to put a few books under it and get it to work. This is not a perfect or permanent solution. I spent more than enough time trying to find a solution to this problem, which is the reason for my four star rating. However, the quality of the photos is excellent, the microphone works and the feedback I have received is unequivocal. It's plug and play with no hassles. I'll keep looking for a mounting solution, frustrating as it is, the camera does its job.
