I really like the style of this door handle and lock. I wish the internal parts were metal instead of plastic. German products are generally known for their build quality. I bought two, one for the front door and one for the back door. The first installation worked for a few days, the second only a few hours. I can't find anything comparable for this price. My better half bought another handle/lock from Home Depot for $130, but it's not square (the kind of farmhouse I was hoping for). I made multiple copies of the keys which was a waste of time. (I've never bought a broken doorknob before. I've never been happier with a doorknob like this one.) I've also bought porch lights to match the doorknob. I was so disappointed. I hope that the company will make changes so that their product is a quality product. I wish I was mechanical, but my better half is. He said the gear that propels the object into the impact plate was completely ripped off on each of the handles. (He had to give it to me in a language I could understand.) The second pen he installed; He inspected the parts before installing the handle and the plastic part wasn't torn off. After opening the door several times; Rotating the handle no longer pulls on the piece of metal that allows the door to open. He examined the inside and the same piece was now stripped.
