Perfect for my application, the best transformer I've ever bought. It's quiet, stylish, a good size and the power meter is a nice feature. I also like the simple on/off button at the top. It works well for my fully automatic coffee machine which I use daily and occasionally power other small appliances. Note that overload protection only makes sense if you choose the right transformer. for a load/device. I bought the 1600w version to power my 1500w coffee maker and it works great. However, when I occasionally use it to power a small 400W device, the transformer offers limited or no overload protection. The transformer is heavy and well constructed. I wouldn't recommend moving it, so it's best to secure it somewhere in the kitchen. I've also found that my transformer gets warm/hot if I leave it on for a few hours even when my coffee maker isn't running (no stress on the transformer), so I recommend turning it off after each use. definitely top notch, but I've gone through 3 ugly, noisy, bulky transformers in the past (one actually caught fire) and would happily buy this one first.
