Review on 🐾 Halo Microchip Scanner from the Pet Tech Store by Marcus Hardin

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I work for a homicide and we always .

I work in a non-homicide animal rescue and we always need a microchip scanner for incoming dogs What struck me about the Halo microchip scanner is that it doesn't always recognize every microchip. I scanned 3 dogs - the Halo microchip scanner only found 1 microchip out of 3. I used a different brand of scanner and was able to find microchips on the other 2 dogs. With this scanner you take risks. Hit or miss when you scan dogs with this microchip scanner. Since most shelters keep dogs 5 days without a pass and 14 days with a pass, this microchipless scanner could result in 1. the dog not being returned to its owner and 2. the dog being euthanized or adopted because it is not get the chip. The chip acts as identification and gives the dog extra days before being adopted or euthanized.

Pros
  • understandable even for old people
Cons
  • too stupid
