They are larger than I thought they would be but they are well made and seem durable and can take some rough play. At first I only gave the dog two and he tugged and wrestled with him happily. My grandson took the other two as bath toys so they make great water toys too :) They're pretty durable, they squeeze a bit and the fabric seems pretty durable. The ropes are firmly embedded/sewn into it, allowing it to withstand some strong pulling forces. Although they are quite large, they are very light, with many variations in shape and size, allowing a dog of almost any size to enjoy them.
