I have almost all the tools needed to remove oil filters (sockets, wrenches, pliers and clamps). I thought I had a big mess when the filter on a new used Trailblazer wouldn't budge. I was ready to rip the filter apart with a hammer and screwdriver when I found this online. I waited a few days for it to arrive and I'm glad I did. I've seen other reviews about tool slippage (correctable) or image mismatch (still good reviews), but mine arrived exactly as advertised. When I tried it I thought it would slip, but it turned out that removing the filter was so easy. I used a ratchet which probably needs to be turned at least 70 degrees to loosen the filter. However, it does come with an adapter so you can use a 21mm or 7/8" wrench. Worked on my Trailblazer and Impala but not so well on my mother in law Chevy Venture but nothing (neither universal nor key). In use, the tool squeezes the filter a bit to make good contact before starting to loosen it, so it needs space to use with a ratchet. All in all, got rid of some bloody knuckles, oily goo and a bit of Hale Mary. Highly recommended.
