My 2013 Nissan Sentra came with one of these. I laughed at this at first because I couldn't imagine it could actually be used for anything. Then, as we started accumulating miles with the car, Uses came forward! Pour milk into it and the milk jug will not spill. We put folders with files inside so that they do not slide all over the trunk. We also stow our rucksacks and shoes there when we go to football practice so that the bags don't roll into the back of the trunk. There is nothing quite like finding a lost shoe between 4 backpacks, 2 soccer bags and 2 karate bags along with my files. This helps keep everything front and center where I want it to be. So overall not that bad. Next time I buy a car, I will specifically ask about it.
