Review on Enhance Engine Performance with Standard Motor Products PS287 Oil Pressure Sender by Todd Markel

I ordered this PS287 oil pressure sensor from Standard Motor Products and it was sold and shipped by Austin Autoparts, not Amazon. no box wrapped in bubble wrap. I used to buy standard engine sensors and they always came in a box (and I've always been happy with them). It also looks EXACTLY like the $8.00 sensor I bought locally that started leaking through the seal after 6 months. acted better, somehow. It only took 2 weeks for it to start leaking. With no tag and no box, how can you tell if this item is genuine?
